During my pregnancy with my first born, I developed Antenatal Depression. After his birth whilst struggling being a new mom, dealing with a sweet baby boy with colic, he got sick. At 7 weeks old when he needed surgery, I escaped into reading. I have always been a reader, but I hadn't read that much as I tended to get a tad obsessive when I read.

I have to know what happens.

Well, in four months I had read 122 books.
I then discovered special edition books, and well...the ship had well and truly set sail.

Living at the bottom of the world makes it that much harder to get our hands on the beautiful books we see the rest of the world show casing. So after talking to bookstores, who weren't all that helpful or bothered by my
conundrum, my husband said:

"For f***s sake darl, just do it yourself!"

So here you are. I source the books that you want and are hard to get, you get to talk to someone who loves books and knows how hard it is to get the book you want. I spend hours confirming ISBN's, comparing US vs UK editions and all the detaily information that there is to ensure that you are getting the book and the edition you want.

The cool thing about being a small independent book store, is that I get to beat a few of the Big Bookstores to market by getting them straight from the source.

I have ended up with two darling sons so not only does my bookshelf display my beautiful books it also displays; Hotwheels Cars, Diggers, Chainsaws and Firetrucks.

It’s a perfect mix of my love for books and the little joys that come with being a mom.
