How Good was Steffanie Holmes' Wellington Book Launch?
The Grimoire had an amazing time hosting the Wellington launch of A Grave Mistake, the latest novel by Steffanie Holmes at Pole Electric. A massive thank-you to the team at Pole Electric for welcoming us and helping make the evening so special — it was the perfect setting for this one-of-a-kind launch.

About the Book
A Grave Mistake is the second book in The Nevermore Murder Club & Smutty Book Coven series, an interconnected standalone series about the members of a supernatural book club finding their happily-ever-afters in a small town infested with vampires. Set in the same world as the Nevermore Bookshop but eight years later, this cosy paranormal romance blends clever, witty heroines, dark and atmospheric settings, cunning witches, and a dash of sadistic humour.
Following Fangs for Nothing, A Grave Mistake delivers all the ingredients fans love: enemy vampires who were once lovers, a meddling book club, a murder mystery, and more tea than should be legal — all with darkly witty, vampy charm. Steffanie Holmes is a USA TODAY bestselling author of paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and supernatural mysteries, and her signature humour and flair shine through in this latest release.

Highlights from the Launch
Doors opened and the room hit peak chaos—in the best way. Fans were talking to Steffanie Holmes, grabbing books, and meeting other Grim fans. Just pure book nerd energy.
We kicked into a couple of performances and then a chit-chat with Steff, about her and A Grave Mistake. She brought her usual wit, energy, and charm. Fans got to experience her storytelling live and soak up the mischievous, playful vibe that runs through her work.
We loved the Q&A, where Steff shared insights into her writing process, her characters, and the inspirations behind her stories. We got a peek behind the curtain and left with even more appreciation for the clever chaos she weaves into her books.
Adding to the atmosphere throughout the evening, three pole performances kept the room buzzing, perfectly complementing the vampy, mischievous spirit of Steffanie’s book.
Guests got their hands on books — signed, sprayed-edge editions of A Grave Mistake and Fangs for Nothing — and some character art from Steffanie Holmes. People were there for the stories, the chaos, and the chance to be part of a night that didn’t care about being normal.
It was a night that did its own thing. Funny, a little wild, completely unapologetic. Huge thanks to everyone who came, to Steffanie Holmes for trusting us with her launch, and to Pole Electric for giving us the space to do just that.
